About the Project

CARBODIGIPARD — Carbon Digitalisation Project

IPARD III Programme Green Deal Objective

Through our Erasmus+ project, IPARD enterprises will be supported in preparing for CBAM requirements within the framework of "Alignment with the EU Green Deal", one of the Commission priorities for the IPARD III period, and activities complementary to the programme will be carried out.

Climate Change Adaptation Strategy and Action Plan (2024-2030)

The results of our Erasmus+ project may contribute to our country's 2053 Net Zero commitment.

Carbon Footprint Calculation and Greenhouse Gases

It is estimated that 26% of global greenhouse gas emissions originate from the food and nutrition chain and 14.5% from livestock activities.

  • Capacity needs and a lack of guidance regarding environmental sustainability practices among IPARD enterprises that play a key role in rural development
  • Lack of awareness about carbon footprints and the need for knowledge- and skills-based transformation
  • Lasting impact and dissemination through practical and accessible learning solutions and digital tools

TARGET GROUP – 1

1. IPARD Beneficiary Livestock and Food Enterprises: The aim is to increase carbon footprint awareness among enterprises whose production processes have a high environmental impact and to improve their knowledge and skills regarding sustainable production practices.

TARGET GROUP – 2

1. IPARD Agency Employees: By strengthening the capacity of agency staff in carbon footprint, sustainability, and environmental impact matters, the aim is to improve the quality of guidance and advisory services provided to IPARD beneficiaries.
